WELCOME TO THE WEBSITE OF THE SFCC

The Seoul Foreign Correspondents' Club was founded in 1956 by nine correspondents, three years after the Korean War.

Today it has grown to become one of the most established foreign correspondents' club in Asia with more than 250 correspondents covering Dynamic Korea.

The club celebrated its 50th anniversary last year and published a 455-page book titled "Korea Witness: 135 Years of War, Crisis and News in the Land of the Morning Calm,'' which is filled with stories by generations of foreign correspondents.

The SFCC welcomes not just foreign correspondents, but also diplomats, top businessmen and senior government officials.

The SFCC offers a range of events including professional luncheons, press conferences, social get togethers, happy hours on Friday nights, and the traditional Year-End party. The Club is the perfect place to meet and socialize with many local and foreign celebrities.

As a member of the SFCC, you can attend our press conferences and meet the people who are in the news.

Korea is a place where there is never a shortage of stories for foreign correspondents.

This year will be no exception with the presidential election and North Korea.

The Club has a lounge, serving international and Korean cuisine. Located in the heart of Seoul, the Club overlooks the newly renovated Seoul City plaza.

A workroom with free-Internet is also available for members.

Watch out for the latest news and events on our Home Page. We look forward to seeing you at the SFCC soon.
