Welcome to the SFCC website, the online home of the Seoul Foreign Correspondents’ Club.
The SFCC brings together the news organisations that inform global audiences about developments on the Korean peninsula, North and South. It is a hub for their coverage and seeks to defend media rights in their collective interest.
We are one of the longest-running FCCs in Asia, having been founded by a group of nine journalists more than 60 years ago. We now have around 500 members including representatives of about 100 media organizations, and regularly host news conferences and briefings with prominent South Korean and foreign figures, from politicians and generals to activists and academics.
Please see the ‘membership’ section under ‘About Us’ for categories and application forms. All members and friends are welcome at the monthly Networking Night, on the first Thursday of each month at our club lounge in the heart of Seoul, overlooking City Hall and Deoksugung palace.
