JSC “Khabar Agency” has been established in 1995 and is one of Kazakhstan’s leading television companies. It was established in 1995 and its four channels beamed from the Kazmedia Centre in Astana now covers more than 90 per cent of the country.
The Agency’s mission and objective is to give complete, objective and timely information on events taking place in the country and in the world and provide high-quality television products and services.
Republican channel “Khabar” has become the ambassador of political and socio-cultural values and traditions, also actively developing different genres. The main direction of the channel is the promotion of national information policy.
The 24KZ TV channel is the first 24-hour digital news TV channel in the country. It broadcasts via satellite system Otau TV, cable TV system iD TV and through other cable networks. News feeds are transmitted in Kazakh and Russian languages every 30 minutes.
National satellite channel Qazaq TV is the first of its type in Kazakhstan. Previously called Caspionet TV, the channel was rebranded in 2012 and started digital broadcasting. This 24/7 TV channel broadcasts in Kazakh, Russian and English languages, dedicating programs to education and information. Collaborating with satellite operators like Eutelsat and GlobeCast, Kazakh TV broadcasts its signal over the territories of 93 countries in North and Central America, Western and Eastern Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia and South Caucasus (Transcaucasia), with the potential audience of 253 million people.
Cultural and educational channel El Arna started broadcasting in January 2014, when two state TV channels El Arna integrated. The main mission of the channel is educating the young with programmes promoting human and cultural values.
